Privacy Policy (last updated: 20/06/2019)

Any information we personally collect from you is what you give us voluntarily through email and such. In particular, we will see your email address (and the name you choose to provide) whenever you contact us through our Contact Form, and we may ask you to provide us with information such as your name, date and place of birth, current place of residence and social security number (however, please notice that we do not collect any of this  automatically). By contacting us, or providing us with the information we just described, you authorize us to use your information for the purposes described below. This information will be collected and handled by yours truly, Ernesto Pavan, sole administrator of this website (when you read “we”, it’s actually me talking. Sounds more professional, I guess). You can find me at ernpavan@gmail.com.

We will use your information to:

  • conduct business with you;
  • communicate with you;
  • provide you with information related to what we do;
  • protect our rights and the rights of other parties (for example, by collaborating with the Law and the authorities when required)

You have the right do forbid us to use your personal information for commercial, communication or information reasons. Please note that this will likely make it harder or impossible to work with you.

Your personal information will be stored for an indefinite amount of time, unless and until you ask us to delete it. Please note that we cannot delete information written on contracts and other documents (for obvious reasons).

We will never sell any your data, nor we will disclose it to third parties without your consent, unless it’s required to us in order to comply with laws and regulations, to respond to a subpoena, search warrant or other lawful request for information we receive, or to otherwise protect our rights. Please note that third parties may acquire access through your data by other means, or we may acquire your information through them: mainly, if you pay us through Paypal, they will of course know that you sent us money, and we may see your personal information within the transaction. You can find Paypal’s privacy policy here. Also note that we use Gmail to communicate with you (you can find Google’s privacy policy here); to our knowledge, and according to a statement made by Google, Gmail doesn’t extract content from emails, but please know that Google’s servers are located outside the EU, and that therefore, there’s a possibility (although by no means a certainty) that your data might be transferred and stored outside of the European Union.

We will store your information in a password-protected environment, and possibly on one or more protected backup drives that cannot be accessed from the outside. We will, of course, notify you as soon as possible in case of a data breach.

You have the right to know exactly which information we have on you, and how we acquired them. You have the right to ask us to correct, update or delete your personal information (again, our email address is ernpavan@gmail.com); we will comply as soon as possible. Please note that laws and regulations might require us to keep some information (for example, the information included in translation agreements) even after you asked us to delete them.

Unless you ask us not to, we may contact you via email in the future to give you some news about what we do and how we do it. If you don’t want to be contacted by us, you can simply ask us not to do so by contacting us through our email address.

We may update this privacy policy from time to time in order to reflect, for example, changes to our practices or for other operational, legal or regulatory reasons. It’s in your best interest to come back from time to time and check for updates.
